I am a filmmaker, photographer, and visual storyteller. My work explores the space between silence and struggle, the unspoken, the unresolved, and the emotional currents that live beneath the surface. With a foundation in Mathematics and Physics, I approach filmmaking as both intuition and structure, image as thought, rhythm as feeling.I began making films in Iran in 2006 before moving to London in 2011 to continue my studies in cinema. Over the years, I have developed a visual language rooted in simplicity, emotional presence, and the poetic possibilities of the moving image. My early works, including Aphasic (Recollection), Graiin (Abstraction), That Side Up, U, and I Have Written It Here For You, formed the basis of this exploration.In 2018, I co-founded Aquifer Film Production Company, and in 2020, we opened Aquifer Film Studio in East London, a space dedicated to experimentation, collaboration, and craft. That same year, I wrote and directed the Trilogy of Safeguarding Adults, three narrative films examining emotional resilience and human vulnerability.My most recent project, the Trilogy of Terpsichore (2025), continues this inquiry through movement and embodied expression. One of its films, "Morning", was awarded Best Music Film Editing (2025) at the Consonance Music and Dance Film Festival, Tbilisi, Georgia. For the trilogy, I served as cinematographer, co-director, editor, and poster designer, reflecting my commitment to authorship across visual, structural, and emotional layers.Since 2022, I have also been teaching as a Film Production Technician within BA Media at University College London, supporting emerging filmmakers in developing their own visual languages and creative processes.My work continues to search for truth through simplicity, for images that carry silence, memory, and presence. Cinema, for me, is a way of staying awake in the world.
